Tom Nguyen, DDS

Dr. Tom Nguyen graduated Magnum Claude from California State University of Dominguez Hills with a Bachelors degree of Clinical Laboratory Science in 1989. He continued his education and graduated from University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1994.

Dr. Tom Nguyen is a California Board Certified Dentist, California Board Certified I.V. Conscious Sedation, California Board Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist, California Board Certified Register Nurse, and California State Department of Consumer Affair I.V. Conscious Sedation Evaluator. He has been practicing in Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implant Surgery, Periodontal Surgery, and Intravenous conscious sedation for the last 16 years.

Dr. Tom Nguyen holds a diplomat status of the American Dental Implant Association. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Association for Functional Orthodontics, and Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Tom Nguyen believes in providing excellent quality dental care to his patients. Patients’ dental health is his primary concerns. He stays on top of cutting edge advance technology at his dental practice, Los Angeles Center for Dentistry. He continues build on his skill and knowledge with hundreds of hours continued education in cosmetic dentistry and dental implant surgery. Dr. Tom Nguyen constant writes weekly column and giving lectures at the local hospitals. In addition, Dr. Tom Nguyen travels across the country and to the under privileged countries to provide missionary dental services few times a year.

Along with Dr. Tom Nguyen’s busy practice, he is currently doing his internship in Doctor Degree of Family Nurse Practitioner. His hospital rotations have included Medical Surgical at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Torrance Memorial Hospital, ICU/Trauma center/ ER at California Hospital, Obstetrics at Huntington Memorial Hospital, and Pediatrics at Children Hospital of Los Angeles. It is through his training as Doctor of Family Nurse Practitioner, he was able to safely administer and effectively managed intravenous sedation for clients with medically compromised conditions. Some examples of this are clients with Cerebral Vascular Accidents (CVA), Cancer, Myocardial infarctions, Hepatitis, Asthmatics, COPD, and clients who are severely mentally disabled.

Dr. Tom Nguyen and his beautiful wife, Rose Nguyen, have two adorable children, Jonathan Nguyen 12 years old and Michelle Nguyen 8 years old. He enjoys spending a lot of time with his family and teaching his children. In his free time, Dr. Tom Nguyen likes to play basketball, badminton, working out, and running.
